Rocky Bear LLC is a locally owned masonry and hardscape company based in the Bozeman, MT area. Jeff Jones, the owner, has been working in the trade for over a decade and has extensive experience with small residential projects to large-scale luxury custom work.

We specialize in custom natural stone patios, retaining walls, fireplaces, stone veneer, repairs and renovations for both indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as diverse tile work projects.

Our work differs from others in that we approach each job with an artist’s mindset. Anyone can stack or lay stone, but we pay attention to the little details that make finished masonry look inviting yet professional - the balance of the stones, the pattern, the joints, the corners, and the manner in which everything flows together - creating a heavy piece of genuine art.

We also have skills in practical design, site layout, grading, drainage, and construction planning. We understand how to read and interpret blueprints, establish benchmarks, set proper elevations, and make sure water flows where it’s intended. These details help ensure a project is built properly and holds up over time.

If you have an idea but aren’t sure exactly how to make it work, we can help develop a plan, work through site challenges, choose the right materials, and determine the best way to build it for long-term strength and durability. Whether you’re a homeowner planning a project or a contractor looking for masonry services, feel free to reach out. We'd be happy to take a look and see what we can do!
